Using the Readability Guidelines Editor
- Find the Readability Guidelines Editor under the Add-ons menu in Google Docs. Click Add-ons > Readability Guidelines Editor > Start
- A dialog box appears and tells you that the script requires authorization. Click Continue. A second dialog box then requests authorization for specific Google services. Read the notice carefully, then click Allow
- The Readability Guidelines Editor sidebar appears. When you have written the first draft of your document, select the Check button. Details of edits you may need to make are highlighted in the text, and are described in the sidebar.
- To clear the highlights in the document, click Reset
